Description
It is a 4-channel monitor that can receive input signals from a proximity eddy current sensor, a rotary position sensor (RPT), a DC linear variable differential transformer (DCLVDT), an AC linear variable differential transformer (AC LVDT), and a rotary potentiometer. The measurement type and associated sensor input will determine which input/output (I/O) modules are required. It processes the input signal and compares the processed signal with the user-programmable alarm settings. Using 3500 frame configuration software, 3500/45 can be programmed to complete the following functions:
Axial (lateral) position
Differential expansion
Standard single slope differential expansion
Non-standard single slope differential expansion
Double inclined plane differential expansion
Compensated differential expansion

Shell bulge
Valve position
Note: The monitor channels are programmed in pairs, and the above two functions can be completed at most each time. Channels 1 and 2 can fulfill one function, while channels 3 and 4 can fulfill another (or the same) function. However, only channels 3 and 4 can realize shell expansion monitoring.
The main functions of the 3500/45 monitor are:
1) Continuously compare the monitored parameters with the set alarm points and drive the alarm to provide mechanical protection
2) Provide basic machine information for operators and maintenance personnel. According to the configuration, each channel can process the input signal into a variety of parameters called “proportional value”. Each effective ratio value can be configured as an alarm setpoint, and any two effective ratio values can be configured as a dangerous set point.
When troubleshooting through LEDs, the 3500/45 is similar to the 3500/40M mentioned earlier. Sensor buffer output: There is a coaxial connector for each channel on the front panel of the monitor. Each coaxial connector has short-circuited protection. When using DC LVDT, channel 3 and channel 4 are -10Vdc level conversion. When ACLVDT is used, all channels are the DC display of the AC signal returned by the LVDT.
