The Multilin 850 relay is a member of the Multilin 8 series protection relay platform and is designed for the management, protection and control of feeder applications. Multilin 850 is an integrated all-in-one solution for providing comprehensive protection, control and monitoring for underground and overhead single and doubly-fed lines in industrial and public power networks.
The Multilin 850 is also an ideal choice for interval control applications. Its functions include 12 switchgear control elements, a large color graphic display supporting configurable monoculars, an integrated signaler panel, and 20 user-configurable virtual buttons.
Thanks to its support for industry-leading communication protocols and technologies, the 850 can be easily integrated into new or existing SCADA or DCS to enhance situational awareness capabilities. In order to simplify the migration and upgrade of the existing SR 750/760 or 735 protection relays, a modification kit has been developed, which greatly simplifies the upgrade process.
