I. Product Positioning and Function
This module is an input/output component of the 16-channel temperature monitoring module (3500/65) in the Bentley Nevada 3500 series mechanical condition monitoring system, specifically designed for high-precision temperature signal acquisition. It supports the following two input types:
RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector)
Supports 3-wire/4-wire platinum RTD (α=0.00385, industrial standard), with a measurement range covering -200°C to +850°C.
Compatible with nickel RTD (-80°C to +260°C) and copper RTD (-100°C to +260°C), but platinum RTD is the recommended option.
Isolated TC (Isolated Thermocouple)
Supports thermocouple types such as Type E, J, K, T, etc., with a measurement range from -160°C to +1370°C (depending on type).
Isolation design: Provides 250Vdc isolation between channels, effectively preventing external electromagnetic interference and ensuring signal stability.
Core functions:
Receive signals from front-end sensors and perform signal conditioning (such as cold junction compensation and linearization processing).
Compare the processed temperature values with the alarm thresholds (Alert/Danger) set by the user through the 3500 Rack Configuration Software.
Support triple modular redundancy (TMR) configuration and avoid single-point failures through a dual voting mechanism to enhance system reliability.

Description
The 3500/50 133434-01 monitor provides 16 channels of temperature monitoring and accepts both resistance temperature detector (RTD) and isolated tip thermocouple (TC) temperature inputs.
The monitor conditions these inputs and compares them against user-programmable alarm setpoints.
The monitor is programmed using the 3500 Rack Configuration Software. You can configure the 16-Channel Temperature Monitor to accept isolated tip thermocouples, 3-wire RTD, 4-wire RTD, or a combination of TC and RTD inputs.
In Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) configurations, you must install temperature monitors in groups of 3 adjacent monitors. In this configuration the monitor uses 2 types of voting to ensure accurate operation and to avoid single-point failures.

3500/50 133434-01 Tachometer Module
The 3500/50 133434-01 can be configured to supply conditioned Keyphasor® signals to the backplane of the 3500 rack for use by other monitors, thus eliminating the need for a separate Keyphasor module in the rack. The 3500/50 also has a peak hold feature that stores the highest speed, highest reverse speed, or number of reverse rotations (depending on channel type selected) that the machine has reached. These peak values can be reset by the user.
