The BENTLY 3500/62 is a process variable monitor specifically designed for the continuous monitoring of critical parameters on machinery, such as pressure, flow, temperature, and voltage.
This monitor has a wide input range and can accept current input from +4 to +20mA and voltage proportional value input within the range of -10 to +10Vdc.
The monitor processes these signals and compares them with the user-programmable alarm values to achieve real-time monitoring and alarm functions for key parameters. Additionally, the main function of this monitor is to continuously compare the current process variables with the configured alarm set points to trigger alarms, protect the machinery, and provide important machine information for operators and maintenance personnel.
The BENTLY 3500/62 can be programmed via the 3500 frame configuration software to perform voltage or current measurements. It offers corresponding I/O modules for three signal input forms, including +/- 10V DC, isolated 4-20mA, and 4-20mA with intrinsically safe zener barriers.
In practical applications, when BENTLY 3500/62 is configured with triple module redundancy (TMR), process variable monitors must be installed in groups of three at adjacent locations. This arrangement employs two voting forms, ensuring precise operation and avoiding single-point failures, thereby enhancing the system’s reliability and stability.
