Product Positioning and Functions
The Emerson A6312 is a dual-channel speed and phase monitor, specifically designed for industrial rotating machinery (such as steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, hydro turbine machinery, etc.), and belongs to high-reliability monitoring equipment. Its core functions include:
Speed Monitoring: Real-time measurement of the rotational speed of the shaft, supporting zero-speed alarm, reverse rotation monitoring, and process condition tracking.
Phase/Phase Angle Monitoring: Capturing the phase pulse signal for each rotation using displacement sensors, used to analyze changes in mechanical health status (such as vibration, eccentricity, etc.).
Redundant Mode: Supports automatic switching of the main/backup speed meters, ensuring continuous system operation and maintaining phase continuity during fault switching.
API 670 Standard Compatibility: Combined with the AMS 6500 monitor, forming a complete mechanical protection system to meet industry safety standards.

Application scenario
Electric power industry:
Monitor the rotational speed and vibration of steam turbines and generators to prevent overspeed or mechanical failures.
Integrate into Ovation or DeltaV control systems to achieve the linkage between mechanical health and process control.
Petrochemical industry:
Monitor the rotational speed of key equipment such as compressors and pumps to ensure production safety.
Communicate with upper-level systems via Modbus TCP/IP or OPC UA protocols, supporting remote diagnosis.
Metallurgy and papermaking:
Monitor the key signals of high-speed rotating machinery such as rolling mills and fans to optimize equipment maintenance plans.
Redundant design reduces the risk of unplanned downtime and enhances production efficiency.
