The F3DIO16/801 is a compact, safety-related remote I/O module designed to interface safely with high-integrity automation systems. It extends the number of digital inputs and outputs

in a distributed safety control system such as HIMax or HIMatrix by communicating with the main safety controller over safeEthernet.

 It does not execute user programs by itself but serves as an I/O expansion unit for field signals.
