The 339-EP1G1HESNP3EDN has advanced communications features for operators who may require things like Ethernet, IEC 60870-5-104, or IEC 61850. It also has additional voltage protections compared to the baseline models. Some of these protections include things such as underpower, phase undervoltage, vt fuse fail, phase overvoltage, over/under frequency, directional power relay, and more.

The 339-EP1G1HESNP3EDN uses a high-voltage 110-230VAC/110-250VDC power supply to operate. This model uses 1A three-phase current inputs and a 1A ground input. This unit has 10 contact inputs, 2 Form A outputs, and 5 Form C outputs. This unit does use the drawout case design, but it does not have the optional harsh environment conformal coating included. The front panel of this unit is rated for ingress protection at a level of IP40, while the rear is IP10.
