The Trusted® Processor is the main processing component in a Trusted System. It is a powerful, user-configurable module providing overall system control and monitoring facilities and processes input and output data received from a variety of analogue and digital Input / Output (I/O) modules across a Trusted TMR Inter-Module Communications Bus. The range of applications for the Trusted TMR Processor vary in integrity level and include fire and gas control, emergency shutdown, monitoring and control, and turbine control.

Working principle

Triple Module Redundancy (TMR) technology: Within each module, there are three identical circuits that operate simultaneously to process the input signal. The final output is determined through a majority voting method. For instance, if one of the circuits fails and outputs an incorrect signal, the output results of the other two normal circuits will be consistent, allowing the correct output signal to be determined, thereby significantly enhancing the reliability and fault-tolerance of the system. Power supply voltage range: The system’s power supply voltage range is 20 to 32V DC, the working output/fault voltage range is 18 to 32V DC, the output voltage measurement range is 0 to 32V DC, and the maximum tolerated voltage is -1 to 40V DC.
Output channels: There are 40 independent output channels, which can simultaneously control 40 different devices or loads. They are divided into 8 independent power groups, and each power group has 5 working outputs.
Output current: The rated output current (continuous) for each power group and each channel is 2A, limited to 8A for each power group, and the minimum on-state load current is 50mA.

Resistance characteristics:

The resistance in the output-off state (effective leakage) is 33Ω, and the output-on resistance is 0.6Ω.
Capacitors: The capacitance range of the pre-released version 3.5 is 30-55uF, and version 3.5 has at least 2800uF when operating at 2A.
Short-circuit protection: It has an electronic short-circuit protection function. When a short circuit occurs in the output, the module will automatically protect itself to prevent damage to the module or other equipment due to the short circuit.
Channel-to-channel crosstalk: The crosstalk between channels is limited to below -40dB, ensuring the independence of signal transmission between each channel and reducing mutual interference.
