3500 is the first system provided by Bently Nevada that can be configured with multiple levels of redundancy, from a single module to dual power supplies to a complete TMR (triple module redundancy) configuration. The TMR configuration mode has three identical monitor channels (or optional sensors), and uses the 3 out of 2 rule and the dedicated relay to achieve mutual voting. This feature allows the 3500 to be used in a safety instrumented system that does not allow accidental or missed trips in power supplies, monitor channels, or sensors caused by electronic faults or human error under any circumstances. Even if it is applied in a non-redundant manner, the 3500 is the most reliable system we have ever provided. It contains a variety of self-monitoring functions that can identify the failure of the monitor module and the sensors connected to it, and issue and confirm the failure through the corresponding error code , And when the fault endangers the correct operation of the system, the channel operation is automatically prohibited. The configuration is stored in two separate areas in the non-volatile memory of each module. This redundancy method allows the module to compare the configuration information consistently and mark any exceptions to ensure that no memory interruption occurs. The use of redundant non-volatile memory can also allow the module to pre-program spare parts to ensure that the monitor configuration will not be lost when the power supply fails when the redundant power supply is not used, and the monitoring function is restored immediately after the frame power is restored .
