PROSOFT MVI56-LTQ is a communication gateway module specifically designed for industrial automation. It serves as the interface between the Limitorque valve actuator network and the Rockwell Automation ControlLogix processor, enabling efficient and reliable communication integration.
Core function
Protocol Conversion and Interface Support
As the master station of the Limitorque valve network, the MVI56-LTQ supports seamless connection between Limitorque protocol-compatible devices (such as valve actuators) and the ControlLogix processor.
It provides RS-232 or RS-485 communication interfaces (selected via jumper), supporting a baud rate range of 1,200 to 38,400 bps, suitable for different device rate requirements.
It supports the Limitorque port A/B polling scheme, simulating redundant communication through the two ports on the module, enhancing system reliability.
Data Transmission and Processing
Asynchronous data transmission: The data transmission of the ControlLogix processor is not synchronized with the PROFIBUS network operation, avoiding conflicts and improving response speed.
Large-capacity data storage: The module has an internal 1,500 register space, which can store valve positions, states, fault registers, etc., and can achieve control instruction transmission through ladder logic.
Multi-slave station support: Up to 150 slave station devices can be mapped, meeting the requirements of complex industrial scenarios.
Command and Status Monitoring
It supports core commands such as continuous polling, valve position reading, and status register access, covering the entire valve control process.
It provides communication error codes and counters, real-time monitoring of link status, and supports fault diagnosis and rapid recovery.
