The Trusted@TMR expansion processor module is located in the Trusted processor slot of the Expander chassis and provides the “from” interface between the Expander bus and the Expander chassis bottom.
Board. The expansion bus enables the use of multiple chassis systems to achieve unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) cable connections while maintaining fault tolerance and high bandwidth (MB – Inter-Module Bus) functionality. Modules are for expansion.
The display bus, the module itself and the expander provide a fault-protected chassis, ensuring that the impact of these potential failures is localized and maximizing system availability. This module features the HIFT TMR architecture’s capability.
Fault-free operation. Comprehensive diagnosis, monitoring and testing provide rapid fault identification. Hot standby, module backup support configuration, allowing for automatic and manual repair strategies.
Characteristics:
Triple module redundancy (TMR), fault-tolerant (3-2-0) operation.
Hardware-based Fault Tolerance (HIFT) architecture.
The dedicated hardware and software testing system provides extremely fast fault identification and response time.
Automatic fault handling, no nuisance alarms.
Thermal replacement.
The front panel indicator lights show the operating status and condition of the module.
