The optical fiber reflective memory network is composed of three parts: network card, router and optical fiber. Among them, the model selected for the network card is VMIACC-5595-208 350-805595-208L of VMIC Company, and the model selected for the router is VMIACC-5595. The maximum transmission speed of the optical fiber reflective memory network is 170Mbyte/s, and it can support up to 256 nodes at most. The optical fiber reflective memory network has two configurations: ring and star. In practical applications, these two configurations are combined, as shown in Figure 1. Its network structure is divided into two layers, with the top layer being a ring and the bottom layer being a star. The system’s main control dispatching computer and four routers form the top-level ring network, and the computers of each device are connected to the routers to constitute the bottom-level nodes. The advantages of this hybrid structure lie in the following: First, the system clock information sent by the main control computer reaches each node in a relatively short and consistent time, which is conducive to the synchronous operation among system devices; Second, the simulation system has multiple simulation configuration methods, and each simulation configuration method requires different devices. However, the hybrid structure optical fiber reflective memory network allows skipping unused nodes, so that some device nodes that are not needed in certain test configurations do not need to be powered on and run. Figure 1 shows that the system adopts relatively inexpensive multimode optical fibers, with a maximum transmission distance of 300 meters between nodes, which has met the wiring requirements of the laboratory. However, when using multimode optical fibers, the top-level ring network is actually quasi-ring, and the top-level cabling must occupy two ports of each router. 2. In the design of the semi-physical simulation system, the main control computer sets the simulation mode and equipment configuration of the simulation system through the optical fiber reflection memory network, is responsible for the release of the system clock, starts, pauses or terminates the system operation, and monitors the data exchange on the optical fiber reflection memory network, thereby grasping the operating status of each device in the system. The data throughput of this simulation system is very large during operation. Besides considering the basic hardware factors, communication protocols and information format schemes, as well as the way software reads data, also need to be taken into account. All these will greatly affect the operational efficiency of the entire optical fiber reflective memory network.
