Description:
This module is a device built as part of a series originally developed by General Electric’s Industrial Automation division as a model for Fanuc’s VMIC product line.
This unit is VMIVME-2532A, a 32-bit, high-voltage digital input and output module. This unit is designed to handle data transmission between 8 and 16 bits. There are many standard VMIC details and features in this unit. There is a high current absorption of 600 milliamperes and a high breakdown voltage of 70 volts DC. There is also a series of output clamping diodes. Automatic surge current has a shutdown protection option.
The VMIVME-2532A module integrates built-in self-test and analysis functions to diagnose the functionality and efficiency of its core components. These can run both offline and real-time support.
VMIVME-2532A is equipped with a front panel with fault indicator lights. The device also has an optional testing jumper series with output, designed for 100% testing of output drivers.
