Product Overview
Woodward 9907-018 series 2301A Load Sharing and Speed Control Actuator current of 0-200 mA, CE certified, forward-acting, and low-voltage model that operates with an individual actuator. The 2301A Full Authority Speed Control sets the speed or load of a diesel engine, gas engine, steam turbine, or gas turbine according to the demand of a process or a computer control signal of 4–20 mA or 1–5 Vdc.

Product Description
Woodward series 2301A is one of the many control series that AX Control Inc offers for you to buy, if needed we can also repair and refurbish the control for you. The 9907-018 model is a low-voltage model, it operates as a single actuator system, and is not offered with a deceleration ramp. The model is also a forward-acting control and operates on an actuator current of 0-200 mA and is CE approved. The voltage source of a low-voltage model is in the range of 20-40 Vdc.
With the low voltage model be sure that when connecting shields to the control you absolutely under no circumstances use terminal zero, non-use is indicated on the front of the frame of the control. The contact used to give the prime mover a positive dc source is terminal sixteen, this terminal is also interlocked with terminals fourteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, and thirty, these terminals are also the dc supply and positive connecting point.
The actuator compensation potentiometer on the control is typically used as a means to stabilize the control and prime mover. If during use there is an extreme instability or the control is unusually overactive decrease the actuator compensation by very slowly turning the potentiometer clockwise. The actuator compensation potentiometer can be set fully counterclockwise if needed, but be cautious when doing so not to over-torque the pot.
If during operation you are adjusting the gain potentiometer and there is a temporary change in speed on the prime mover the adjustment was likely made too quickly, to fix this make sure that the adjustment is made slowly instead.
Introduction to the Woodward Speed Controller 2301E Series
The control functions based on the Woodward 2301E microprocessor are similar to those of the 2301A load sharing and speed control as well as the 2301D load sharing and speed control.
This control device is installed in a metal plate chassis and is used in both ordinary and hazardous locations, and consists of a single printed circuit board.
The 2301E is configured using a computer with Control Assistant software or the Woodward ToolKit service tool.

The controller is powered by a 24 Vdc power supply.
2301E includes:
1 load sensor circuit
1 actuator driver, 4-20 mA, 0-20 mA, 0-200 mA or PWM
1 MPU speed sensor
1 configurable analog output
2 configurable analog inputs
8 discrete (switch) inputs
4 discrete (relay driver) outputs
