1. Product Positioning
The Eaton XV400 MICRO PANEL dedicated expansion communication card is specifically designed for the XV400 series human-machine interface and is used for serial communication between HMI and third-party PLCs. It is an upgraded version of MPB1-TP and additionally natively supports the Siemens S7 MPI protocol. Eaton

MPB1-TP: Only general serial ports (Modbus, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.), without MPI
MPB2-TP: Based on all protocols of MPB1, add Siemens MPI interface, connect to S7-300/400 old model PLC
