Product Description

Eaton MTL7796 is a Zener shunt-diode intrinsically safe safety barrier within MTL7700 series, available in two variants: MTL7796+ (positive polarity) and MTL7796- (negative polarity). It serves as an energy-limiting interface between safe area and hazardous explosive areas. By shunting overvoltage via zener diodes, it restricts voltage and energy fed into hazardous side below the ignition threshold for flammable atmospheres. Optimized for 3-wire vibration probes powered by -24VDC (Bently Nevada eddy current sensors). Dual-channel design, DIN rail mounting with removable terminals. Certified to ATEX and IECEx intrinsic safety standards for Zone 0/1/2, widely used as critical spare component for TSI vibration monitoring systems under hazardous environments.
