GE IC3600SGDE1A is a thermocouple ground detector card for Speedtronic Mark I / Mark II turbine control systems. It is mounted inside the thermocouple processing module and dedicated to detecting ground leakage faults on thermocouple circuits. This PCB has four independent ground-sensing circuits: one for control thermocouple monitoring, two for protection thermocouple Channel A and Channel B, and the fourth for an optional third protection thermocouple channel. A fault alarm will be activated when the thermocouple insulation resistance to ground falls between 12kΩ and 36kΩ. It identifies damaged insulation and accidental ground faults early, preventing abnormal temperature signals that could lead to false turbine trips or unstable operation. It is an obsolete critical safety spare part for maintenance of legacy GE gas & steam turbine units in power plants.
