Product Description

GE IS200EDEXG1BBB (EDEX) is an exciter de-excitation control board for Speedtronic Mark VI, EX2100 and EX2100e excitation systems, a core excitation protection board of the IS200 series. This board implements SCR thyristor firing control, conduction feedback acquisition and residual voltage retention monitoring. During unit trip, emergency shutdown or fault conditions, it rapidly dissipates the magnetic field energy stored in the generator excitation winding to suppress overvoltage in the excitation circuit and prevent damage to rotor insulation and excitation cabinet components. It is a critical spare part for synchronous generator excitation safety protection and works in coordination with the EXTB board. It is discontinued by the OEM and supplied as new surplus or fully tested refurbished spare parts for maintenance and replacement of excitation systems for gas and steam turbine generator units in power plants.
