Product Description

GE Multilin UR-SHA (now GE Vernova) is a dedicated Sync Check Module for UR Universal Relay series, an optional plug-in card for UR protection & control relays. It is used for generator paralleling, bus transfer and line reclosing applications. It verifies synchronism conditions by monitoring voltage magnitude difference, phase angle difference and frequency slip between two sides. Closing permission is issued only when all preset criteria are satisfied to avoid grid surge caused by out-of-sync closing. Modular card design for direct insertion into UR relay chassis, supports FlexLogic programmable logic with built-in self-diagnosis. Widely deployed for synchronizing control in power plants and substations as an expansion option for bus & generator protection relays.
