Product Description
GE MULTILIN UR9CH is the CPU Central Processing Module of Multilin UR Universal Relay series, serving as the core mainboard for UR protection relays. It executes real-time relay protection algorithms, programmable logic, sequence of events (SOE) recording and fault disturbance recording, and manages device communication and setting storage. Equipped with dual Ethernet ports, it supports IEEE1588 precision time synchronization, PRP parallel redundancy protocol, and multiple power communication protocols including IEC61850, GOOSE, DNP3 and Modbus TCP. With pluggable modular design, it mounts on the backplane of UR relay chassis. Compatible with UR relays for line, transformer, generator and busbar protection. Widely used for substation and power plant relay protection retrofit and spare parts, compliant with ANSI and IEC power standards.

Product Application
As the core CPU unit for UR series protection relays, it is widely used in power grid substations, thermal/gas power plants, industrial captive power stations and mining power distribution systems. It can be installed inside UR relays for line protection, transformer protection, generator protection, bus differential and capacitor bank protection. It processes CT/PT analog signals, executes fault judgement and trip logic, stores fault waveforms and event sequence data. It uploads telemetry, remote status and alarm data to SCADA/DCS via Ethernet for substation automation and remote monitoring. Commonly used for legacy protection equipment retrofitting and spare replacement.
