I. Basic Overview
Full name: RMP400 Remote Multipurpose I/O Module
System affiliation: Conventional RIO400 distributed IO platform, paired with K-Chief 600 engine room monitoring, K-Pos DP power positioning, AutoChief remote control for the main unit, and offshore platform automatic control system; upper-level interface with RAIT400 and RCU501 main control units
Product positioning: Modular general signal acquisition and output unit, belonging to the predecessor base platform of RMP420/RMP420S, with unified hardware architecture, and channel capacity and signal type (DI/DO/AI/AI-PT100/AO) can be distinguished through sub-models
General Hardware Channel Architecture
The base board of RMP400 is a standardized base, and different sub-models are fixed with channel configurations:
Digital DI Input
24VDC loop passive contact point acquisition, photoelectric isolation, built-in LFD open circuit detection, ground short circuit diagnosis; threshold 16VDC ON / 6VDC OFF, single-channel loop current 4–6mA, suitable for valve limit, pressure/temperature switch, emergency stop button
Digital DO Output
Solid-state transistor 24VDC drive, single channel 0.25A rated load, can drive relays, solenoid valves, indicator lights; short-circuit self-lock protection, safe state can be preset in case of communication loss
Analog AI Input
4–20mA current type transducer (pressure, level, flow)
Three-wire thermocouple temperature measurement (-200~600℃)
0–10V voltage instrument signal
AO Analog Output
0–10V / 4–20mA proportional output, drives regulating valves, frequency conversion setpoint signals

Debugging port: On-board RS232 serial port, used for setting bus address, firmware upgrade, channel forced debugging, fault log reading
Data interaction: Upload all channel status and fault codes to the central control HMI screen within milliseconds
