Product Description

Metrix Vibration 5485C is a high-temperature moving-coil velocity sensor, a passive self-generating seismic velocity transducer rated for continuous surface temperature up to 375°C. It is standard vibration monitoring hardware for heavy-duty industrial gas turbines. Adopting zero-friction coil suspension, the coil bobbin is supported by two non-twisting circular spider springs with purely viscous electromagnetic damping, delivering stable and repeatable vibration measurement under high-g shock and cross-axis vibration. Hermetically sealed stainless steel housing. Two cable options available: integral armored cable or removable armored cable with 2-pin MIL-style threaded connector (P/N 4850). Certified for hazardous locations and SIL2 safety integrity level applications.
