This product is compatible with the Foxboro I/A DCS system and incorporates MTL’s explosion-proof isolation architecture, serving as an integrated bus control unit with 8 DI channels and 8 DO channels. The inputs are compatible with 15–60 VDC switching signals and can acquire discrete field signals such as valve feedback and limit switches; the 30/5 model supports 30 VDC outputs with a 5 A load per channel, enabling direct drive of actuators such as solenoid valves and alarm lights. The module features full-channel electrical isolation and built-in intrinsically safe circuitry, allowing direct use in hazardous areas while suppressing field surges and electromagnetic interference. It supports redundant fieldbus communication and features hot-swap capability, allowing for online replacement without downtime. Each channel is equipped with a status LED indicator, and input debouncing and fail-safe output modes can be configured. Installed using standard backplane slots, the module provides independent isolation for single-channel failures, ensuring that other circuits continue to operate normally.
