Model: HiD2038, Brand: Pepperl+Fuchs, 2-channel SMART Current Driver isolated barrier of H-System HiD2000 series. This module transmits 4-20mA signals from control system to hazardous area to drive SMART I/P converters and valve positioners, supporting bidirectional HART communication. It integrates Line Fault Detection (LFD) to detect open/short circuit of field loop. Safety integrity level up to SIL2 (IEC61508). Bus-powered design, mounted on DIN rail backplane terminal board, compact housing width of only 18 mm. It is a dedicated intrinsic safety barrier for valve driving in hazardous area applications.

Application

It galvanically isolates safe side and intrinsic safety side, limits energy into hazardous zone for explosion protection. Capable of detecting wire break and short circuit on field loop and sending fault alarm, widely deployed in DCS process control loops.
