Typical “Communication Conversion” Usage
Although it is essentially a DI module + dual serial ports, it is often used in the field as follows:
Serial port ↔ AutoMax bus gateway
Connect third-party RS-232/485 instruments, frequency converters, serial sensors to AutoMax DCS
Modbus RTU ↔ Private protocol conversion
As a Modbus slave station, provide 32 points of DI + serial data to the upper-level SCADA/PLC
Remote I/O acquisition + transmission
Field 32-point switch quantity → WR-D4007 → serial port / backplane → control system
