Product Overview
Triconex 4000189-530 is a communication interface module of the Tricon™ safety instrument system (SIS), belonging to the Schneider Electric EcoStruxure™ Triconex safety product series. This module is developed based on the US military aerospace triple-redundant fault-tolerant (TMR) technology and complies with IEC 61508 SIL3 and DIN V19250 AK6 safety level certifications. It is widely used in safety interlocks and process control systems in industries such as oil, chemical, metallurgy, and power.
This module is mainly used to achieve high-speed data communication and protocol conversion between the Tricon controller and the upper-level system (DCS/PLC/SCADA). It supports industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and Ethernet/IP, and is the key bridge for the Tricon system to connect with external networks.

Core function
Function Explanation
Industrial Communication Gateway Realize seamless data interaction between Tricon TMR controller and external DCS (such as Foxboro, Honeywell), PLC, and SCADA systems
Protocol Conversion Support mainstream industrial protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU and Ethernet/IP, and be compatible with multi-brand system integration
Triple Redundant Communication Inherit Tricon’s “3 out of 2” voting architecture, the communication links have fault-tolerant capabilities, and a single point failure will not affect system operation
High-speed Data Exchange Support high-speed upload/download of real-time process data, alarm information, and interlock status, ensuring data synchronization between SIS system and upper-level management system
Online Hot Swap Support online replacement, installation, and repair of modules during system operation, without interrupting the control process
Intelligent Diagnosis Contains a microprocessor, with self-testing, link status monitoring, and fault diagnosis functions, reducing the load on the main processor
