YOKOGAWA AIP591-S1 is a V-net optical fiber communication adapter dedicated for Yokogawa CENTUM VP DCS system. It converts electrical signals to optical signals and vice versa between controllers and remote I/O units on the V-net bus, supporting redundant dual-link configuration. AIP591-S1 uses multi-mode fiber to resist heavy electromagnetic interference and extend V-net transmission distance. Hot-swap capable with built-in channel self-diagnosis and link break alarm. It serves as key spare communication hardware for remote I/O expansion of CENTUM VP, widely used for retrofit and maintenance of large-scale process DCS in petrochemical and power industries.
