ABB 3BHB0006715R0277 SYN5202A-Z V277 is a dual-channel automatic synchronizer of the SYNCHROTACT®5 series, a special measuring & control device for generator grid paralleling in power systems. It adopts two independent measurement and calculation channels, closing output is enabled only by AND logic of both channels for high safety level. It supports automatic synchronization, synchro-check, dead-line closing and other working modes. 7 switchable parameter sets are built-in for multiple paralleling points. It works with SynView commissioning software to accurately set paralleling criteria including voltage, frequency and phase difference. Firmware version V277, widely used as spare parts for power plant and substation synchronization systems.

Application

Automatic synchronizing paralleling between generators and grid in thermal power plants, hydropower stations, gas power plants and substations. It is also used for busbar & tie-line synchronization. It monitors voltage, frequency and phase difference on both sides; sends closing command when conditions are met and blocks closing to avoid dangerous out-of-sync impact.
