ABB 560AIR01, part number 1KGT036500R0001, is an 8-channel analog input module for Hitachi Energy (ex ABB) RTU560 series. It is equipped with a 16-bit AD converter and supports multi-range current and voltage analog signal acquisition. Each channel can be individually configured. It communicates with the RTU560 main controller via backplane RTU I/O bus to perform analog sampling, signal filtering, limit violation detection and time-stamped event logging. It has built-in hardware self-diagnosis and fault LED indicators. Rack-mounted modular design, it is a core I/O card for analog signal acquisition in substation automation RTU560 systems.

Application
This module is used in substation RTU560 remote terminal units for power grid. It collects analog signals from transmitters such as bus voltage, line current, active/reactive power, temperature and pressure. The measured data is uploaded to SCADA for remote metering of power grid. It continuously monitors signal anomalies and sends time-stamped fault events to control center.
