Product Description
DCS880-S02-0680-05X0 is a thyristor DC drive module of ABB DCS880‑S series, rack‑mount IP00 bare‑unit with rated armature DC output current 180 A for three‑phase mains supply. STO Safe Torque‑Off is integrated as standard with SIL3 / PL‑e certification. IEC 61131‑3 programming is supported for closed‑loop speed, torque and current control of DC motors. X0 configuration means no built‑in field exciter, external excitation unit is required. On‑board DDCS and Ethernet interfaces; Profinet, Modbus‑RTU, DP fieldbus modules are available as options. Commissioning via Drive Composer and Automation Builder software. Suitable for DC‑motor drives as well as non‑motor DC loads such as electrolysis and battery charging.
