Core Functions
FF Bus Protocol Gateway Conversion
Realize bidirectional data forwarding between FF H1 Fieldbus (31.25kbps) and FF HSE High-Speed Industrial Ethernet, upload the data of fieldbus instruments, valve positioners and other equipment to the DCS controller, and simultaneously issue control instructions to the fieldbus devices. ABB Group.
4 Independent H1 Bus Link Management
Built-in 4 isolated FF H1 Bus Interfaces, each of which can act as the main station LAS of the bus link, can be equipped with multiple FF bus field instruments, and supports bus fault isolation, data cycle polling, and alarm event forwarding.
Redundant Hot Standby Architecture Support
Two devices can be redundantly configured. Through dedicated redundant links, automatic switching between the main and standby is achieved. Seamless switching occurs when a single gateway fails, ensuring uninterrupted operation of communication in high-risk scenarios such as chemical, oil and gas.
Bus Diagnosis and Remote Firmware Upgrade
Equipped with fault diagnosis for bus short circuits, communication abnormalities, and offline devices; supports remote online firmware upgrade through Ethernet, and can uniformly configure, manage, and download configuration files for all connected FF field devices.
Interface Configuration
1 RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet (HSE High-Speed Bus Port)
4 FF H1 Bus Terminal Interfaces (Electrical Isolation)
1 RS232 Debug Serial Port (9-pin D-SUB)
Status Indicators: Power, HSE Communication, 4 H1 Bus Operation Alarm Lights
Typical Application Scenarios
In flammable and explosive industrial conditions such as oil, chemical, and natural gas, the Freelance DCS system uses FF Foundation Fieldbus networking to connect pressure, temperature, flow transmitters, intelligent valves and other fieldbus-type field devices, achieving data interconnection between hazardous area instruments and the control room control system.
