ABB MB810 (Dual-slot Installation Base for HPC800 Controller)
1. Basic Positioning
It is a core base component of ABB Symphony Plus DCS system. It is the standard carrying base for the HPC800 main control module. The left slot is for installing the HPC800 computing main control unit, and the right slot is compatible with the CTB811 communication terminal board you previously queried. The entire set forms a complete controller unit and is widely used in the deployment of main control cabinets in thermal power and chemical industries.
Slot Division and Complementary Assembly
Slot A (left): Fixed HPC800 core controller, responsible for logical operations and local I/O scheduling;
Slot B (right): Connects CTB811 communication terminal board, providing Ethernet and RS485 external wiring;
Complete set solution: MB810 base + HPC800 main controller + CTB811 terminal board. Redundant units need to be paired and used in two sets;
Differentiated from remote networking components: RMU610A + cRBX01 is responsible for long-distance optical fiber I/O relay, while MB810 is responsible for the installation of the local main controller. These two types of components are combined to build the entire station DCS architecture.

Mechanical support + Backplane power supply: Installed in DIN rail standard cabinets, the backplane uniformly supplies power to the main controller and communication boards, integrating internal high-speed buses to achieve signal intercommunication between the two modules;
External interface expansion: Comes with native network ports, serial ports, and power connection terminals. After connecting CTB811, it can expand the ability to interface with third-party instruments and frequency converters;
Redundancy deployment compatibility: Supports dual-controller hot backup installation. When the main controller fails, the base link seamlessly switches, ensuring continuous operation of the unit;
Basic diagnostic points: Reserved status indicator positions, combined with the upper-level module to provide feedback on power supply and bus communication faults, facilitating on-site maintenance.
