Product Description
ABB PCS6000, Part No. 3BHE055094R0002 (GBU72 Grid Breaker Unit), is a core grid-side control module for the PCS6000 medium voltage full power converter system. It adopts 3-level NPC, 4-quadrant VSI topology with IGCT semiconductors and fuseless design. This unit controls grid breaker switching, pre-charge sequence, grid synchronization, safety interlock, signal acquisition and fault protection. Working together with the complete PCS6000 full power converter, it achieves full electrical decoupling between generator and grid. Closed liquid cooling ensures high reliability. It is mainly designed for onshore & offshore large wind turbines, also suitable for tidal power, energy storage and heavy-duty industrial power conversion. The complete PCS6000 converter can be installed in nacelle or tower base, complying with global grid codes and LVRT requirements.
