I. Basic Positioning
TRM01 is a dedicated optical/electrical dual-channel communication interface card for ABB Symphony / INFI 90 DCS system. It is a spare part for old power plants and power station distributed control systems. It is a rack-mounted plug-in module used for data exchange between the controller and remote I/O, gateway, and upper-level system.

II. Hardware Interfaces
Dual Communication Channels
Channel 1: Yellow optical interface (optical port, long-distance anti-interference)
Channel 2: Green electrical coaxial interface (electrical port, short-distance backplane communication)
Bus Slot: Standard gold fingers, directly inserted into the backplane of the Symphony control machine
Snap-on panel, with locking tabs, supports hot-swapping maintenance
Dual-redundant photoelectric communication
The two channels of light and electricity can serve as backups for each other. A single channel failure will not interrupt the system communication. It is suitable for key control circuits in thermal power plants and hydropower plants.
Signal conversion
Convert the parallel bus of the controller ↔ the optical serial bus, extending the communication distance between cabinets (optical fibers can reach several kilometers).
Network expansion
Expand the mounting capacity of the control unit, connect remote I/O shelves, PLC gateways, SOE event recording cards. Fault diagnosis
The board card is equipped with a status indicator light, which promptly reports communication disconnection, insufficient optical power, and backplane bus faults.
