Product Description

ABB UNITROL 1000-7 is a digital Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR / Excitation Controller) within the UNITROL 1000 family for brushless excitation of synchronous generators. It is a legacy product, replaced by UNITROL 1010. Adopting fully digital control architecture, it integrates voltage regulation, protective limiters and optional PSS (Power System Stabilizer). It is a single-channel controller equipped with local MMI for on-site monitoring and parameter setup. Commissioning, configuration, fault recording and diagnostics can be done via CMT1000 PC tool. It regulates excitation current to stabilize generator terminal voltage, improve system damping and comply with grid codes, suitable for new build and retrofit projects of medium & small synchronous generators, available in BASIC, FULL and FULL+PSS variants.
