Product Description

ABB UNITROL 1020 (Order code: 3BHE036163R6206) is a fully digital Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) from the UNITROL 1000 series, the core excitation control unit for synchronous generators. Adopting dual-processor DSP architecture with integrated IGBT power unit, it regulates excitation current via closed-loop PID algorithm to stabilize generator terminal voltage, reactive power and power factor. It supports single-channel or dual-channel redundant configuration, equipped with local LCD HMI. It includes complete excitation protection, fault recording and PSS power system stabilizer. It supports MODBUS TCP, IEC61850 and other industrial communication protocols, suitable for new projects and retrofits of generator sets, widely used for excitation regulation and grid connection control of medium & small synchronous generators.
