Product Description

UNITROL 1020 is a compact brushless excitation Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) within ABB UNITROL 1000 family. It adopts dual-processor and IGBT power semiconductor architecture, designed for medium & small synchronous generators and synchronous motors, and supports dual-channel redundant configuration. This regulator integrates full functions including voltage regulation, excitation limiting, monitoring & protection, communication, waveform recording and event logging. It can be mounted directly inside generator terminal boxes, suitable for harsh industrial environments with wide temperature range and heavy vibration, complying with global grid codes. Equipped with CMT1000 commissioning & maintenance software for parameter setup, real-time monitoring, trending and fault event recording. It is certified to DNV, UL standards, widely applied for brushless excitation retrofit and new unit supply projectsABB Group.
