II. Core Functions
Multiple ST Fiber Trigger Channels
Receive modulation electrical signals issued by the main controller, convert them into optical pulses and send them to the gate terminals of the power unit thyristors; simultaneously receive fault and conducting status optical signals from the power unit.
Independent Channel Diagnosis
Real-time monitoring of fiber breakage, optical module attenuation, and abnormal optical power; fault signals are uploaded to UFC921A interface board and the excitation CPU, triggering system alarms and pulse blocking.
Strong Electromagnetic Isolation
The optical medium completely isolates the low-voltage control circuit from the high-voltage power circuit, resisting the strong harmonics and electromagnetic interference of the power station excitation cabinet and converter station.
Hardware Fast Protection Logic
In case of power side short circuit, overcurrent, or overtemperature, the hardware cuts off all trigger pulses without delay to prevent power devices from breaking down.
Backplane Bus Interchange
Through the parallel bus inside the rack and UFC921A1101 communication, trigger timing, channel fault recording data are synchronized transmitted.
