Alstom PIB102A (Part No. MV7306P23) is the Power Interface Board for Alstom Advant series (now ABB). It is an integrated rack-mount board for power distribution and signal interfacing. It provides power conditioning, power distribution and isolation protection for CPU, I/O and communication cards inside the rack. It integrates multi-channel digital and analog signal interfaces to perform signal transfer, level conversion and galvanic isolation between controllers and field sensors & actuators. It has built-in hardware fault diagnosis and status LED indicators, with overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent and surge suppression protection. Eurocard hot-pluggable rack design, it is a critical backplane interface spare part for power plant DCS and turbine control systems.

Application
PIB102A is deployed in steam turbine and boiler DCS control systems of thermal and gas power plants. As the rack power distribution and signal interface board, it supplies stable protected power to all rack modules. It acquires signals from field transmitters, valve position feedback and discrete switches, and outputs control signals to drive field solenoid valves and relays. It monitors power status in real time and triggers alarms upon faults, ensuring stable operation of unit sequence control, regulation and interlock protection loops.
