HIMA X-SB 01 (Part No. 985210207) is a system bus module for the HIMA HIMax safety control system. It is designed for HIMax baseplate and can only be installed in slot 1 and slot 2 of the base plate. It supports single-bus non-redundant operation (one module) or dual redundant bus configuration (two modules, recommended). It performs secure data exchange between modules inside one rack and across different racks, manages rack ID and SRS safety resources, and provides the PADT programming & debugging interface. The module has built-in self-diagnosis; faults are indicated via LEDs and SILworX software. TÜV certified up to SIL3 with 1oo2 safety architecture, guaranteeing high availability of communication links for SIS safety instrumented systems.

Application
As the core of internal high-speed safety bus for HIMax SIS, this module transfers safety-related data between CPU and I/O modules within rack and cross racks. Widely used in high-risk process industries including oil & gas, chemical, refinery, coal chemical and power plants. Deployed for ESD emergency shutdown systems, boiler protection, BMS burner management, compressor interlock protection and other safety interlock applications. Under redundant configuration, automatic bus switchover occurs upon bus failure to prevent safety system failure caused by single-point communication fault.
