Product Description

Honeywell FS24X-912-23-1 is a multi-spectrum triple IR plus visible light flame detector, belonging to Honeywell FSX series industrial explosion-proof flame detector. It adopts patented WideBand IR™ wide-band infrared sensing technology, dual microprocessors and intelligent algorithms to detect hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon flames with excellent false alarm rejection. Built-in FirePic™ flame snapshot storage records pre-fire waveform data for post-incident analysis. It supports automatic optical path and circuit self-test, integrated 4-20mA analog output, relay dry contact alarm outputs and RS485 Modbus communication. Equipped with explosion-proof housing for hazardous areas, it detects open flames including gasoline, natural gas, alcohol and wood fire, delivering early flame monitoring and fire interlock protection for industrial sites.

Application

Widely deployed in hazardous areas such as oil & gas plants, LNG tank farms, gas turbine enclosures, compressor buildings, paint booths, power plants, ethanol/methanol storage tanks and aircraft hangars. It continuously monitors open flames and sends rapid alarm signals to fire alarm panels, PLC or DCS to trigger deluge systems, gas shut-off and unit shutdown interlocks. Suitable for long-range flame detection in enclosed or semi-enclosed equipment cabins and tank farms, providing early fire warning and mitigating fire & explosion hazards.
