Product Description
TA3840R Safety Unit is an intrinsically‑safe rack of Honeywell (former Enraf) TA3840 marine tank gauging system, 19‑inch 3U rack‑mount hardware. It cannot operate standalone and must work together with TA3840R communication unit. It provides intrinsically‑safe power supply and galvanic signal isolation for EM540 radar level transmitters located in hazardous zones, forwards isolated radar signals to TA3840C main controller for level and volume calculation. DB9‑RS232 maintenance port on front panel allows direct local configuration for radar transmitters without main controller involvement. Modular slot design supports easy expansion and board replacement. Approved by major classification societies, ATEX and IECEx intrinsic‑safety certifications. This unit is discontinued by original manufacturer, available mainly as refurbished / used spare parts in aftermarket.
