Product Description
Woodward 5437-1124 is a safety I/O module of ProTech-GII series, dedicated safety input/output board for Woodward ProTech-GII overspeed and overtemperature protection system with SIL safety certification. The module acquires redundant sensor signals such as multi-channel speed and temperature, executes independent safety voting logic and drives trip relay circuits for prime mover overspeed and overtemperature interlock protection. It supports hot-swap on rack backplane, integrates isolated analog and discrete channels with built-in hardware self-diagnosis to detect wire break, short circuit and module faults in real time. As the core I/O unit of ProTech-GII protection system, it is used for safety protection of gas turbines, steam turbines and large reciprocating machines. Some variants of this series are gradually discontinued and supplied as spare parts for rotating machinery protection maintenance in power plants.

Product Application
Working together with ProTech-GII main unit, it is deployed in protection systems for gas turbines, steam turbines, large gas/diesel reciprocating engines and centrifugal compressors. It collects signals from speed pickups and temperature transmitters, performs signal voting and fault diagnosis. When overspeed or overtemperature hazardous condition is detected, it triggers safety trip circuit to drive emergency shutdown solenoid valve for unit interlock protection. Widely applied in power plants, oil & gas fields and refinery compressor stations, complying with SIL safety loop requirements. It is critical I/O spare part for large rotating machinery safety protection system.
