Woodward LS5-XT / LS-5 series is a circuit breaker synchronizer controller (paralleling relay), Version 2. It integrates synchro-check, mains decoupling, protection and power management functions, commonly paired with Woodward easYgen-3400XT / 3500XT genset controllers. It communicates with genset controllers via CAN bus, measures voltage and current signals to perform synchronization, load transfer, mains failure detection and trip protection. It is software configurable for 1-breaker or 2-breaker modes. LS5-XT is the variant optimized for XT-series easYgen. Two hardware styles are available: rear-mounted unit without display and front-panel mount unit with LCD HMI. Widely applied in switchgear and generator paralleling systems in power plants.
